Description
One of the most photographed scenes at Augusta National is the Ben Hogan bridge that take golfers to the 12th green. The footbridge is made of stone and crosses Rae's Creek, the scene of much heartbreak over the years. The bridge was dedicated to Hogan in 1958 to commemorate his record score of 247 in the 1953 Masters. At the time, Hogan's 14 under par score eclipsed the previous Masters best four-round record by five strokes. The bridge is covered with artificial turf to keep golfers from slipping on the stone surface.
